MoMA summer sale

July 23, 2013

Museum stores are totally awesome. I’ve even just gone into the store when I don’t have that much time to go into the museum to see all the unique and cool things they have for sale. It’s a great place to find cool books, fun toys, and even cool unique housewares. Unfortunately that high-design look can come with a high price tag. Fortunately, its the “end of summer sale season” (whew, say that 5 times fast) which means places are marking some serious discounts on their stuff, including the Museum of Modern Art’s Store.

Some of these things are still a bit on the pricey side, but here’s my top picks from MoMA’s sale:

MoMA summer sale

1. Yoshimoto Cube Set  – You can’t go wrong with transformable geo cubes! | 2. Netzwerk Bowl – This bowl is actually pliable and would be awesome for storing your produce on the counter top or for storage on a book case. | 3. Lounge Coasters – I love the quirky shape of these, plus the vintage textile pattern just screams Mad Men to me. | 4. Century of the Child: Growing by Design 1900-2000 – this book looks into how toys and games have been designed for child’s play over 100 years. | 5. Scamp Side Table – Have you noticed this industrial crate trend going on lately? I like the clean look of this table version of the trend.

Check out the rest of the sale here.

There’s no perks for me doing this post, I was just checking out the sale stuff and decided to share it with you! What are your picks?
