Oh man I think the power outages are getting to me with my punny post titles, but seriously, how fun is the ikat trend going around right now? I’m definitely loving it.
Ikat is really a dyeing technique similar to tie-dye except the threads are tied off and dyed before weaving the fabric together. Whereas tie-dye is done by tying off the fabric after its been woven together. The result is a boho chic pattern that works on everything from clothes to housewares.
Here’s some favorites I picked out to share with you:
1. Ikat linen clutch via Bagboy on Etsy // 2. Raspberry Ikat Chair via Anthropologie // 3. Ikat print scarf via Gap // 4. Mugs via World Market // 5. Headband via Cara Accessories // 6. Copi Ikat Cube and Pillow via Found Object on Fab.com
It was hard to narrow down the selection for this round up, but check out my pinterest board for more fun ikat ideas!
I actually don’t own anything ikat yet, but after this round up of goodies, I’m thinking I’ll have to make a shopping trip soon!
