I’ve been seeing a geometry trend in everything from jewelry to product design to furniture these days. I love the clean, simplistic feel, but the different shapes still give a little unexpected character. Here’s a little round up of some cool 3-sided gems I think would be awesome to wear.
Yay for Fridays! Any fun plans?
I’m completely in love with this fedora craze that’s been going on lately. I’ve always loved wearing hats and now its even more trendy to fashion your noggin with cute toppers. The problem with trends, however, is that there is a good chance of seeing yourself walk down the street since there’s only so many hats to choose from. I’ve decided to lower my chances of seeing double by giving my plain, Old-Navy-purchased fedora some custom modifications.
Project Living Room seems to be stuck in “thinking about it” mode. I’m still totally planning on doing the refresh but I’m still just figuring out what to do.
One issue is the dilemma of the chairs. As you can see, the living room has 2 large cushy chairs and one couch. B and I only sit on the couch. We rarely use the chairs. Only when people come over and it would be awkward to all pile on the couch together does someone then sit on a chair. All other times, we don’t sit on them.
But Lucy does.
She sits on both of them. They are her chairs.
Happy Monday! I’m back and feeling refreshed and rejuvenated from our lovely beach trip! We got crab legs not once, but TWICE, and every day was sunny and beautiful. Can’t ask for much more than that! We didn’t get in until late last night, so my apologies for the late Monday post. Stay tuned though, I have some fun stuff planned for the upcoming week! I think this will be the 42,876th time I’ve mentioned it, but, B and I are headed to the beach this week! Woot! Design Sponge posted this awesome diy beach bag project out of a mesh screen and since I am completely in love with it, I used it as inspiration for planning my next few days of soaking in the oceanside rays. Here’s some of my essentials for beach days:
1. A good read. I’ve started this book already and I’m sure I’ll finish it up this week. // 2. Keep a hat on to protect your hair and scalp. How adorable is this hat from Target? // 3. Sunscreen is a must! I always put stronger, oil-free stuff on my face to keep up my youthful appearance 🙂 // 4. Need to stay hydrated when the sun is beating down on you all day. // 5. I typically keep the books away from the beach because I don’t like to get them sandy, so I read magazines down by the water. I try to keep it well rounded balancing out the modern design with a healthy dose of celebrity gossip.
