Hey Wedding Wednesday! I haven’t forgotten about you. Today’s post is all about the day leading up to the ceremony. I figured I’ll give an overview of the day then we’ll go back talk about some of the details in future posts. Although at this rate of Wedding Wednesday posts, we’ll probably get to those sometime in early 2016. ha.
Our ceremony wasn’t until 5:30 pm, but all the ladies got started bright and early Saturday morning getting our hair done at Studio Fovero in B’s and my neighborhood.
Then we went back to the hotel where B’s super talented sister did my makeup. She did an amazing job. I had false eyelashes and everything. I’d never worn those before, and probably will never wear them again, but she sure made me rock those fake eyelashes that day.
My dress and accessories get their own post coming up, but then it was time to put on the dress and get ready to meet B for our first look.
Meanwhile, B was getting ready, too…
Because our wedding was at 5:30pm the week after daylight savings time (so it was going to get dark extra early), we decided to do a first look because we wanted to have daytime pictures and really get to spend our day together. I’m so glad we did it. We saw each other around 12:30 and then we got to spend the rest of the afternoon with each other and our best friends taking photos and having a fun time.
We were both supposed to write each other letters to read before seeing each other, but I absolutely had no time to do it, so I came empty handed. Luckily B forgave me and still gave me the sweetest note he had written.
Even though I didn’t have a letter I did make him a pocket square and completed his outfit.
Then it was off to pictures with our party for the afternoon
We went to take pictures at an old building that is a renovation project I’ve been working on at work. The demo crew was scheduled to come in within the month to start the project, so these are really the last photos that would be taken of this space as it was.
Soon it was time to come back and get freshened up for the ceremony as well as pin on the boutonniere of this dapper little guy.
He was quite the ladies man.
It’s time for the ceremony now! That wraps up Wedding Wednesday until next time…
