Exactly one week until Christmas! So what does that mean?
Eat bacon!!
Because, why not? These little gems look really impressive but are so easy to make. Even if it’s not smack dab in the middle of holiday eating season, I say these are fair game any time of year.
So I had four Christmas parties this past weekend, and I first tasted these at party #3 and then promptly made them the next day for party #4. Special thanks to Amanda and Aaron for hosting their party and serving these up, and thanks to Aaron’s mom, Paula for passing down her knowledge of easy bacon appetizers for all of us to enjoy!
Alright, let’s get on with it now, shall we?
I actually don’t know for how long or how hot they baked these guys, but I did some research online and found that there was a low temp long time route, or a 375F for 25 minutes route. I went for the former because it seems like when you cook meat slowly it always comes out better, plus I had the time to do it. But if you’re in a pinch, maybe you could go the shorter route however I didn’t actually do that, so I’m not claiming they’ll be as good if you do that.
Anyway, time for the formal recipe:
Bacon Wrapped Triscuits
makes 32 crackers
Ingredients
- 1 package bacon
- 32 triscuits
Preheat oven to 250F. Cut bacon in half and wrap half a strip around a cracker. Place on a foil lined baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour 35 minutes or until bacon is done. Place on paper towel to blot extra grease. Serve and enjoy!
