peanut butter goodies for B

June 20, 2012

I feel like the blog has been really heavy on the food posts lately. I have a lot of crafty/diy ideas brewing in this head of mine, I just haven’t had time to work on them. But seriously, my task list on gmail is getting so long with fun blog ideas. Craftiness is on its way! But until then, brace yourself for a tasty round up!

Brandon’s birthday is this week, and he’s requested a “peanut butter treat” for the celebration.

“Great!” I replied. “I can make a blog round up and then you can pick from the options!” (Brainstorming sessions have now been consumed by the blog)

Well holy cow, if there aren’t a slew of peanut butter dessert recipes out there. I typed “peanut butter dessert” into foodgawker and 79 pages of peanut buttery goodness came up!  Here’s a good sampling of what I found:

peanut butter recipe round up :: stuff steph does

1. homemade peanut butter cups  // 2. reese’s peanut butter cups // 3. one more peanut butter cup recipe for good measure // 4. peanut butter swirled brownies // 5. peanut butter overload pizza // 6. peanut butter and jelly ice cream // 7. peanut butter sandwich cookies // 8. peanut butter cup cookie pie // 9. reese’s peanut butter cupcakes // 10. frozen peanut butter banana pops (yeah yeah, those are for Lucy!!) // 11. peanut butter chocolate cake umm, this looks amazing // 12. layered triple peanut butter krispie treats // 13. peanut butter fudge cups

These all look so good, I’m glad I’m not the one making the decision! I’ll let you know what he picks probably with yet another food post. What’s your favorite peanut butter dessert?

These all look amazing! I hate to add another option, but I recommend checking out the Black Bottom Peanut Butter Mousse Pie recipe on Epicurious. It’s pretty easy and I won the Best-Tasting Pie award in a pie contest with it.

Everything looks really good… I’m having a peanut butter craving now thank you. And, it’s cool you even threw in a peanut butter pop we can make for our pups.
