Ok, so you all know my complete obsession with yarn. I just can’t get enough of it. So imagine my excitement when Kollabora sent me some supplies to make a cute headband for their learn to knit campaign. Unfortunately, there were some mail issues, so I didn’t get the supplies in time, but alas, the yarn finally came and here is my take on the Newbie Knitted Headband.
I made the purple headband per the instructions on their site, but then knitted up 2 more pieces to make a bow.
Sew the Headband piece together per the instructions, and do the same for the bow piece. Then stack the headband and bow pieces on top of each and wrap together the top three layers with the tie piece.
That’s it! Keep your ears warm with style!
I made the gray headband with Roving Wool and used a seed stitch (knit 1, purl1) for the both pieces.
*Materials for the purple headband were provided by Kollabora

Love this! So so cute. I’m dying to learn how to knit!
Thanks Rachel! You should try it out! It’s a great first project if you’re just learning how to knit 🙂
Hey this looks so cute! Just wondering, what size knitting needles did you use?
Thanks!!
Thanks Emma! Wow I can’t believe I left that out. I think I used size 10 needles. Have fun making them!
