It’s true! Stuff Steph Does is getting a much needed facelift aaanndd I’m moving over to a self-hosted site.
Pumped?? I sure am!
I had secretly dubbed this past weekend BBW — that is, Big Blog Weekend, and worked basically nonstop on moving my blog over from wordpress.com to a self-hosted site. It wasn’t really a secret that I was working on it, more just a secret of the silly name I gave it.
Everything is basically ready to go, so I’ll be using this week to make sure everything is in working order and a new and improved Stuff Steph Does will debut next Monday, August 27!
However, that does mean a few orders of business: if you signed up to receive an email to brighten up your inbox whenever there are new posts via the link at the right on the homepage, this will no longer happen after I make the big move. But don’t worry! I have a solution for you! I would hate for any of you to miss out on any Stuff that happens, so all you need to do is resubscribe via the rss reader. I’ve made a new link under the facebook link on the homepage (called SUBSCRIBE BY EMAIL). Simply click that and it will prompt you to enter your email. (If you do it this week, you might get two emails, one from wordpress.com and one from the new reader, but it will just be for this week.) You can also wait until the new site is up and subscribe from there, as I will have a more integrated way to sign up on the new site…hopefully…if B helps me do it…
(don’t worry, he will)
If you read my blog via the wordpress.com reader, my blog will cease to exist on it after this weekend. But there are many other options for you to follow via those links at the left. Pick your poison! (just not a wordpress.com version)
My domain will be the same so if you currently read the blog on a reader, it should still work, but come next week please just make sure the links are in working order. I have big ambitions for this blog and you don’t want to miss out!!
Whew! enough of this technical stuff, time for a happy song. Enjoy your day, smile big, and share it with the world 🙂
thanks to G for the telling me about this song.
